Holland and Barrett’s application via IPad

Now, it is a new experience for me writing and doing things on my iPad especially buying online from my iPad, but the application process was very simple, if one takes time, follows the steps online and in the application it will guide one through the buying online and in the application process, very nice to buy online and using my iPad too, will definitely do this again soon, it was so straightforward and thank you to the application developers for this application this is great and a good application especially I like that the font was big and easily readable which made the whole, buying process fairly straightforward to date, thank you so much for this kind gesture truly appreciated and I love this application to date, very good on my iPad sixth generation and very easy to use. All in all I am truly grateful for this application to date.

I didn’t like it that much

Using my phone or doing it online without the app seemed to be better for me. That way it automatically applies my discount and necessary points as well as being used to it but with this one I had start looking for the vouchers and couldn’t browse freely as I would and even to get the vouchers which they send a while back and didn’t find in my email even though the App kept saying I have 3 active vouchers to use but couldn’t find them. Moving forward if one has a voucher and a gift card which matches the card I think it should be automatically applied to save time or save the customer from loosing out. More so, I only had to use App because of the discount but I found it was manipulated for example as the discounted price on the washing gel that I had in mind was picked even though it said a different price during my shopping but it automatically changed to the full price during check out and was then discounted which made me lost out .I think that is shady. So If a price is given it should still be the price online hence my reason for buying especially having spent that much talking hundreds of pounds in total. My reason for purchasing in the first place to get a good discount. Well, hence reason for a two star. Please improve on it. Thanks. Waiting for my delivery hopefully not too long . Yes I didn’t even get the chance to choose my delivery which is usually the next day hopefully they should adhere to it.

Unstable & not all accessible with voice-over

As a totally blind user operating with voice-over turned on I found this app very time consuming and not very accessible. Whilst you can with some success search for items & find them, the screen reader tells me there is a details screen for each product I tap on but I can’t open nor get to it. I can add items to my basket & add items to my wish list but not all despite the app saying I can. It would be nice if there was some worded banner that indicated the item had actually been added rather than me having to find my list & check what was on it. The whole app kept jumping back to the top once I’d supposedly added something to my wish list then blocked me from scrolling down the rest of the search results list I had been searching through. There are also several unnamed buttons which didn’t activate when I tapped on them, but since they have no name I had no idea what I was trying to tap on. For a blind user if you have plenty of time & patience to sit struggling your way through this app you will probably do everything you wanted to, … eventually, quicker I think to actually visit the shop! but honestly, I think the designers could improve it for the visually impaired user.
